WWII lion and Union Jack brooch, by American designer Walter Lampl, and stamped WL. Length 5cm by width 1.9cm.
This unusual Bundles for Britain brooch was sold in America to raise funds for the British war relief. This is a wonderful piece of 1940s history.
The cube charm opens and contains a union jack flag. On one side there is the British crown, with the words Britain Delivers the Goods.
Walter Lampl was based in New York, and his jewellery was in production from 1921 to 1959. The Lampl motto was 'Creators of the Unusual, as Usual'.
