Victorian oval bronze tone brooch with a beautiful glossy operculum shell in a rope twist setting.
Measuring 2.7cm by 2.3cm. The setting originally had a gold wash, which can still be seen on the reverse.
It has the old 'C' hook clasp and tube pin assembly, which dates this lovely antique brooch to around 1890.
